David Jacques

Dave W. Jacques, 63, of Cohoes, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 12th, 2024. Born in Troy on October 2, 1960 he was the son of Alfred and Evelyn Jacques.

Dave was raised and educated in Green Island. He attended Heatly High School before obtaining his GED and going to HVCC. He worked at GE as a pipefitter for 27 years. In addition to being employed as a maintenance man at Heatly he was a member of the American Legion in Green Island.

He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved to be outdoors, hiking, camping, and playing horseshoes with his friends. Dave also loved to travel. He was a great cook and baker, his cheesecakes were the best.

Dave is predeceased by his father Alfred, brother Henry and grandson Christopher.

He is survived by his mother Evelyn, brother Thomas (Patricia), sister Judy (James), daughter Melissa, sons Dave (Jess) and Christopher, ex wife Laurie, as well as 12 grandchildren, Blake, Siearra, Destiny, Jayden, David, Lauren, Calogero, Donavan, Dolton, Jade, Jasmine, Luciano and 5 great grandkids, Ethan, Atheana, Legend, Mateo and Sofia.

A visitation will be held on Friday June 21 from 11am-1pm with a sharing of memories at 1pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 343 New Karner Rd Colonie NY 12205.
