David E. Kirtley

September 26, 1950 — May 16, 2022

COLONIE - David E. Kirtley of Loudonville passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 16, 2022.

He is survived by his mother, Alice Kirtley (pre-deceased Donald Kirtley); his wife Marchelle Kirtley; and his children Cynthia (Michael), Anna, Anthony (Jessica) & Libby; Grandchildren, Anabelle, Carter, Salvatore, Nicholas, Vincent, Michael & McKenna. He is also survived by 4 sisters, 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews.

David is a hero in our hearts for fighting for our country during the Vietnam War alongside his twin brother Stephen Kirtley who passed in 2017. David retired from the City of Albany after more than a 15-year tenure.

Throughout life, David's favorite things were fishing, golf & NASCAR racing. Very rare to see him miss a Sunday NASCAR Race. David was also a lifetime member of the Polish American Club in Albany and supported annual fundraising dedicated to St. Jude's children's hospital.

He was loved by many, and will be missed tremendously, however we can take comfort knowing that he is now among the angels.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday May 24, 2022 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY.
