David E. Kline

David E. Kline, 86 passed away in West Portsmouth on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born May 22, 1934 in Portsmouth to the late Truman and Vada Campbell Kline. David retired from the New York State Department of Civil Service. He was a graduate of Bob Jones University with a Masters of Divinity Degree. He was a proud member of the Western Turnpike Rescue Squad for many years.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Hattie Lou (Elkins) Kline.

David is survived by his wife, Betty Campbell Kline, his children; Denise (Richard) Ware and Jeff (Lynn) Kline, he is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many extended family members in Ohio.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday February 11, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St John's Lutheran Cemetery, Albany, NY.
