David Kolakoff

Duanesburg – David Kolakoff, Sr., 75, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 after a short illness. Born in Schenectady, he is the son of the late Joseph and Anna Kolakoff.

David graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1957. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp from 1955-1957, then served in the Marine Corp. from 1957-1961 for which he was cited for his work in Lebanon and last served in the Air National guard from 1977-1999. David was a Fuel Specialist, retiring with the rank of TSGT and was honorably discharged from every branch that he served. He then retired from Glendale Nursing Home in 2000 after 10 years of employment.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Paulette Kolakoff of Duanesburg; his daughter, Samantha (James) Denson of Marietta, GA; his son, Dave Kolakoff, Jr.; and granddaughter Danika Densons of Marietta, GA.

Funeral services for David will be held Friday, January 30th at 12:00 p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. The family has requested no flowers be sent.
