David S. Kruman, 57 of Rotterdam, died peacefully at home with family by his side on October 18, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dave was born on August 26, 1965, in Niskayuna, NY. He was the son of August and Mabel Kruman.
Dave grew up in Glenville, graduating from Scotia-Glenville High School in 1983. He met his wife, Jennifer, in high school while skiing and they were married on June 18, 1988. He was a career tractor-trailer driver, working for Keegan Trucking for 15 years and then Price Chopper for 20 years before retiring. Dave was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and good-natured ribbing with family and friends. He grew up camping in the Adirondacks and continued to enjoy going on family camping trips there throughout his life. He loved to travel, talk cars, go on motorcycle rides, and spend time with his family.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Jennifer Kruman; his sons, Matthew and Christopher Kruman; mother, Mabel Kruman of Lady Lake, FL; sister, Vanessa (Steve) Kaufman; brother, Larry (Debbie) Kruman; his parents-in-law, Floyd and Dorothy Bowdish; sisters-in-law, Christine (Timothy) DeCocco and Karen Bowdish; as well as eight nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, August Kruman.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 25 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie.
