David Levi "Brim" Sabb, 57, passed away Monday December 10, 2007 at his home in Troy.
He was born in Greeleyville, South Carolina May 5, 1950, the son of the late Levi and Lizzie Mae (Boyd) Sabb. Brim moved to Troy in the early seventies and has been at home there for most of the past forty years. He worked in the manufacturing industry as a machinist throughout his life. Most recently Brim worked at Comfortex in Cohoes.
Brim will be remembered for being a good family man and a friend to many. He was a great cook, an avid NY Yankees and Knicks fan and would love to watch his soap operas, the Young and the Restless being his favorite.
Brim is survived by his wife Donna Sabb, his children; Eric & Tony Sabb, Damion Mackey, Monica Elizabeth Arnold, Kurt-Keith Nathaniel Arnold, Kertrice-Denise Arnold, David Levi Arnold and Christopher & Todd Ward, 27 grandchildren and devoted friend Frank Mauzon. Brim is also survived by eight sisters; Doris (Kelly) Wells, Dolly (Marqus) Buchannan, Rose Sabb, and Pamela Sabb all of Troy, Brenda Sabb, Jannie Mae McBride, and Patricia Sabb all of Greeleyville, S.C. and Minnie (Sheldon) Lerell of Sumter, S.C., five brothers; Ronald Sabb of Troy, Anthony Sabb, Fred Sabb, Joseph Sabb and Carey Sabb all of Greeleyville, S.C. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear uncle, David Boyd.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Troy. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the church. Interment will be at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
