David E. Maker

August 9, 1978 — April 16, 2021

(Ballston Spa)

David Maker, 42, passed away suddenly on April 16, 2021. David grew up in Latham, New York and attended North Colonie Schools and Shaker High School. This was followed by studies at Hudson Valley and Schenectady County Community Colleges. Growing up David played many years with Latham Little League and also enjoyed WWF professional wrestling. After high school David spent time in the United States Army. He later fed the Capital District as a line cook at a number of local restaurants. He was currently employed at the Gorman Group in Albany, NY as a transport dispatcher which he truly enjoyed and where he'd hoped to spend many happy years.

David spent his hours outside of work as a loving and hands on dad to his son Chance. David and Chance enjoyed time on Kaydeross Creek which ran behind his home, relaxing fireside, listening to Gordon Lightfoot and having a good cigar.

David is survived by his loving partner of 10 years Zaida Maldonado and son Chance. Also surviving him are his father and stepmother Arch and Kathy (Wood) Maker, mother Diane Molinari and brother Archie Maker. David had many aunts, uncles and loving cousins that will miss him dearly. The family is requesting no flowers be sent.
