TROY – David R. Myers, 76, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Edith Pringle Myers. Mr. Myers was a resident of the Capital District for all of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served his country during the Korean War as a tank gunner. Mr. Myers worked for American Locomotive Co. for three years. For most of his life, he was a self-employed painter, retiring in 1993. He was an avid fisherman. David is the beloved husband of Eleanor F. Salmon Myers. He is the father of Donald N. Myers of Spring Hill, LA. David is the brother of Joy M. Andrews of Smyrna, TN, Robert L. Myers of Schenectady and the late Donald N. Myers. Also surviving are three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Thursday morning at 11:00 at the East Pittstown Cemetery, Pittstown. There will be no calling hours. Expressions of sympathy may be made at newcomerfamily.com
