DUANESBURG – David N. (Mo) Mosher, 69, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 24, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Greenfield, MA, he was the son of the late Earl C. and Ruth L. Mosher. Mo resided in Duanesburg for over 50 years. David was a U. S. Navy veteran. He was a graduate of Lyndon State University and the University of Massachusetts and University of Albany where he received his master's degrees. Mo was a high school history teacher, a school business administrator and an administrator for the New York State Dept. of Corrections. He was also a basketball coach, drama coach and a trainer for the New York State Health and Safety Program for many years. Mo is survived by his wife, the love of his life and "the most beautiful woman in the room," Virginia (Ginny) Mosher; his devoted children, John & Susan Hayen of Oneonta, NY, Christopher and Linda Hayen of Esperance, NY and Susie and Brian Jarosz of Epping, NH; his most cherished grandchildren, Amber, Jarrin and Christopher Hayen, Hillary and Jarod Hayen and Jaimie-Shea, Dustin and Jennifer Jarosz. Also surviving are many devoted friends, including his friends from fantasy baseball, and his running friends. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his brother, Earl L. Mosher and his sister, Ruth F. Mosher.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 6:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society & Lymphoma Society Upstate New York/Vermont Chapter, 5 Computer Drive West, Suite 100, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of David N. Mosher.
