David P. Jones

David P. Jones, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Dave was born in Albany, NY and was the son of the late Leslie Jones and Elizabeth Thayer. He was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Delores M. (Burke) Jones, his daughters, Suzanne Marie Kiley and Veronica Ann Adriance, and his granddaughters, Amy Zinzow and Ashleigh Schneider.

Dave was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved spending time with the family at the pool and during many family gatherings. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman and loyal friend to many.

Dave is survived by his loving daughters and son, Margaret Mary (Donald) Zinzow, Jacquelyn Marie (Patrick) Gray, Cynthia Jean McLaughlin, Donald Phillip Jones and Michelle Beverly (Paul) Hebert. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and his sister and close friend, Lorraine (Anthony) Dolence and brother, William (Debra) Jones; his brothers-in-law, James Burke, Patrick (Pearl) Burke and Michael (Mary Pat) Burke and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church in Albany. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m.
