David P. White

CLIFTON PARK – David P. White, 66, of Clifton Park, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Albany Medical Center Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Jersey City, NJ and was the son of the late Raymond White and Adelaide Christopher White. He served in the US Army from 1964 through 1966.
David was a heart transplant recipient in 1995 from a truly generous donor. In 2001 he received a kidney transplant which was a donated from his daughter Michele. David was blessed with these gifts of life and was recognized by his physicians and everyone who knew him as the "Miracle Man". He participated in many events at the Empire State Games for which he received many medals.
He was also a member of the National Kidney Foundation Northeast New York. This team traveled to the U.S. Transplant Games where organ recipients participated in Olympic type events which raise awareness for the need for organ donations.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Christine Miller White. He is the devoted father of Michele White, Suzanne White and the late David White Jr. He is the stepfather of Francine White Fernandez and Angel White. He is the grandfather of Jason Kreps and Corey Gray. He is the brother of Raymond White. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 4 to 8 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A service of remembrance will be held at 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be Friday morning at 11:00 at Saratoga National VA Cemetery.
