David G. Peters, 72, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 24, 2022.
David was born on March 26, 1950 in Gloversville, NY to the late David G. and Eva Mae (Clouthier) Peters. At a young age his parents moved their family to Albany where he would call home for the remainder of his life. David was the devoted husband of 47 years to the late Frances (Rinaldo) who passed on May 14, 2016. Father of Amy Lee PetersDeCelle (Shawn), David Joseph Peters (Ada), and grandfather of Mia, Shane, Dylan and Dawson DeCelle and Caleb Peters, brother to Charles (Elizabeth) Peters and uncle to several nieces and nephews.
David spent most of his life working for Golub Corporation the Price Chopper in East Greenbush. In his earlier years he showed an artistic side thru his beautiful photographs and sketches. He retired in 2006 and spent the rest of his years enjoying time with his family, reading, listening to the radio and traveling; especially, cruises with Fran. He loved collecting mementos from their global destinations, such as hats, T-shirts, coins and pins. David died in the comfort of his home, surrounded and cared for not only by loved ones but Hospice care as well.
As per David's wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peters Hospice Care and St. Joseph's Indian School in memory of David G. Peters.
