David Revette

SCHENECTADY – David L. Revette, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2007 at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 25, 1933 in Keeseville, NY and was the son of the late Ovide and Malvina Revette. Mr. Revette was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. David worked for Morgan Linen Service, Bond Bakery and retired from Millbrook Bread after 29 years of service. Upon his retirement, he worked for ten years for the City of Schenectady. Mr. Revette was a member of the V.F.W. Post #385 in Schenectady. Dave & his wife were foster parents for 35 years. Dave will fondly be remembered as a great husband, father and proud grandfather and foster father.
Dave is the loving husband of 53 years to Veronica E. Revette. He is the beloved father of Michael Revette and his wife, Suzanne of Scotia, Hollie Revette and her husband, William Akerson, Sr. of Schenectady and Edward Revette of Schenectady. He is the cherished grandfather of Michael (Kelly Evans) Revette, Jr., Joseph (Joamy Herzog) Revette, Matthew Akerson, Cory (Jennifer Penderquist) Akerson, and William Akerson, Jr. He is the brother of Clara (William) LaMountain and Isaac and Mary Revette. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Dave's family would like to thank the E.R. staff and I.C.U. staff at Ellis Hospital, Dr. Kennedy's Office and the Niskayuna Volunteer Paramedics. Also a special thanks to Dr. Parks and Dr. Conlon for their care of Dave over the years.
Funeral services will be Thursday evening at 7:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Niskayuna Fire District #1, 1079 Balltown Rd., Niskayuna, NY 12309 in memory of David L. Revette.
