ALBANY - David T. Cratty, 70, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Dave was born on May 27, 1943 in Rockville, CT and was the son of the late J. Raymond and Grace (Vanderman) Cratty. He was a salesman for Specialty Packaging in East Windsor, CT. He enjoyed reading, the NY Giants, Siena basketball and travelling – especially to President's homes. Of the 43 men who were President, Dave and Ri travelled to the homes of 33.
Dave is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Rita "Ri" (Siciliano) Cratty; his daughter, Dayna Cratty Veach (Antoine) of Swanzey, NH; his brother, Jack Cratty (Bonnie); his brother-in-law, Peter Siciliano (Nancy); his sister-in-law, Mickey Clark (Bill); and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Cratty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Church in Loudonville. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ACCF (Albany County Correctional Facility) for Children's Benefit, 806 Huntingdon Dr., Niskayuna, NY 12309 (ACCFCB.org) or to The Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050 (marfan.org) in memory of Dave.
