David Williams, Jr.

Troy- David Williams, Jr. "Big Dave", 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late David and Lillie Mae Williams. David was the devoted husband to Eva A. Williams. They were married 52 years.

After graduating from college, David enlisted in the United States Army as a cook as well as a sharp shooter until his honorable. Upon his honorable discharge, David worked as a Hall Monitor until his retirement.

David enjoyed spending time with his entire family and loved cooking for them. He had a love of playing cards and shooting pool. David loved to socialize with his friends at his bar, The Falcons Nest. He cherished every moment he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, they were truly his world.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, David Williams, III of Albany, New York, Eric C. Williams of Albany, New York, Richard L. Williams of Albany, New York, Angela G. Williams of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Nicole Williams of Middletown, Deleware and Nicholas B. Williams of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; siblings, Annette, Shella, Ernestine, Danny, and Lee; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his siblings, Loretta and Rita.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Friday April 22, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery, 3 Cemetery Ave, Albany, NY 12204.
