David Winnie

David W. Winnie ,50, passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on July 27th, 2014 after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Albany. He met the love of his life Tracy, 31 years ago and they never looked back. David's passion was cooking, and the holidays will never be the same without his gravy. He enjoyed watching football and WWE wrestling, gardening, rock and roll music, and spending time with his family.

Dave is survived by his wife Tracy A. Winnie, his daughter Kristen L. Winnie, his cherished granddaughter Breya M. FIlkins, his beloved mother Elizabeth (Betty) Couser, his brothers Jerry Couser, Arthur Couser, his sisters Kathy (Kelly) Wagoner, Francis (Tom) Stack, sister in law Theresa Couser, his in laws Barbara and David Filkins, brother in laws Paul (Rita) Maguire, Eric (Liz) Filkins, sister in law Rachel (Chris) Carroll, as well as many nieces and nephews whom he deeply adored.

avid was reunited with his predeceased step son Lance R. Filkins and his loyal four legged companion Pepper.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Peter's Hospice Inn for their kindness and compassion shown to David and the family during his illness.

Calling hours for David will be held on Friday August 1st from 4 – 7 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. A funeral service will commence at 7 p.m. following the calling hours. Burial will be private to the family.
