Dawn T. Haggart
August 5, 1963 — May 6, 2021
GLENVILLE – Dawn T. Haggart, 57, of Glenville, passed away on May 6, 2021 at Albany Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Schenectady on August 5, 1963 a daughter of Richard and Janet (Rankin) Lewis.
Dawn is a 1981 graduate from Mont Pleasant High School, in Schenectady, NY, and went on to earn an Associates' degree in Advertising and Art Design at SUNY, Farmingdale, and a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design at The College of Saint Rose. Dawn and her family have been members at Zion Lutheran Church, in Schenectady, NY.
In 2020, Dawn retired from the Schenectady City School District after 17 years service, working as a Paraprofessional in Special Education.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, William; her 3 children, "Sonny Boy" (Nicholas)- His wife Marianna "Mara", (Jeffrey)- His wife Erica, and her daughter "Bellzie" (Chelsie)- Her boyfriend Michael Zampella; Dawns 2 beloved grandchildren (Emma Dawn and Jace William); her siblings Julia Harvey, Richard Lewis, Ronald Lewis and Sarah Montisko.
Dawn will forever be missed and in our hearts. She had the most infectious smile and anyone who walked across her path came to know her big heart and spirit. We know she is at peace now; running around, riding her bike, lathering herself up in baby oil and getting her tan on, with a side of her favorite gummy bears. God has gained a beautiful angel.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a celebration of life to immediately follow at 7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road Colonie.
Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels
