LATHAM - Dean A. Barbera, age 67, passed away on December 19, 2022.
Born in Schenectady, NY on November 4, 1955, he was the beloved son of the late Salvatore (Frank) and Laura Barbera.
A mason by trade, he devoted his career to the construction industry. Dean had a love for restoring classic cars; however, his greatest joy was being a father and "Poppy Dean" to his four granddaughters.
Dean is survived by his loving sons Ryan Barbera (Katie) and Nicholas Barbera (Jade); his cherished granddaughters Ella, Lola, Minka and Greta Barbera. He is also survived by his brother Frank Barbera (Phyllis) and sister Barbara Benner (Dick), along with nieces, nephews and countless friends.
He will always be loved, never forgotten and forever missed.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 in Dean's memory.
