Albany, Deborah Milner Banyan was called home December 4th 2019 at the age of 69. She resided in Troy NY and died in Albany Medical Center.
Born to the late Earlene Milner and William Henry Miley Sr. Deborah was born and raised in Brooklyn NY and attended the public-school system. She later met and married Theodore Banyan who proceed her in death. She later attended the College of New Rochelle and obtained her bachelor's degree. She worked for New York City as a manager of a group home and the foster care system in Brooklyn NY. She later attended the College of New Rochelle in 1986 and obtained her bachelor's degree. In 1994 she moved to Charlotte, NC, then in 2004 she moved to Lumberton NC While in North Carolina she worked for various group home agencies and during this time she was going to start her own group home herself. Then permanently moved back to New York in 2014.
Deborah is survived by her Sister Christine Milner, 2 children Christopher Milner, and Raqia Rena Sneed, Son in- Law Lamont Sneed. 2 adopter daughters Latasha Elder and Erica Whitlock. Her grandchildren- Marc Perry, Mason Bennett, Lamont Sneed Jr, Quaneisha Milner, Chanet Timothy, Jedidah Milner, Christopher Milner Jr and Jelani Milner, Amanda Milner, Curtis Milner, Aaron Milner. Deborah is also survived a host of great-grandchildren, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Her Nieces and Nephews Gerald Ellison, Michael Milner, Reggie Ellison, Aliza Ellison, Gary Milner, Tocha Milner, Earlene Milner, Tawana Ayars, Mark Miley, Leniere Miley, and Anisah Miley-Boisson.
Deborah has entered eternal life with her late sister Betty Milner and brother William Henry Miley Jr, Son Curtis Anthony Milner, and Grandchild Elyjah Phyne Sneed.
Her Homegoing service will be on Friday, December 13th at Bethel Baptist Church, 2165 5th Ave Troy, NY 12180 at 11am viewing from 10am-11am. There will be a repass to follow the service.
