Deborah Leigh Camarota, 61, of Latham, NY, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Deborah was the beloved wife of Rich Camarota and a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on November 15, 1963, she was the daughter of Lynford and Bernice (Kilcher) Heinze.
Deborah spent her life as a devoted caretaker. A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for much of her life, even after she worked, people would rely on her medical knowledge to help provide advice and support. She enjoyed spending time with family and making holiday meals. Debbie loved baking and reading. She will be remembered for her love, and she was a great listener.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Rich Camarota; sons, Daniel Stark and Tyler Camarota; and grandchildren, Daniel Stark of Saratoga and Johanna Stark of Latham. Deborah will be deeply missed by her sisters, Kathy (Dave) Hofheize and Tammy (Keith) Neaton; her brothers, Peter (Kim) Heinze, John (Amy) Heinze, and David Heinze. Deborah’s mother, Bernice Heinze, survives her, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her special friend, Mallory.
In addition to her father Lynford Heinze, she was predeceased by her first husband, Williams Stark, and their son, Steven Stark. Deborah was also preceded in death by her nephew, Joshua Reagan.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 12:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to The American Cancer Society.
