Deborah Gouvis

April 16, 1952 — August 29, 2023

Deborah I. Gouvis (Galluzzo), 71, of Albany, passed away suddenly on August 29, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Albany to the late Vincent and Alice (Mango) Galluzzo. Debbie graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School, where she made many lasting friendships. She was a people person and worked as an event coordinator, and in the Hospitality field until her retirement.

Debbie was always the life of the party, whether she was dancing in her kitchen or out to dinner with friends. She especially enjoyed taking cruises with Theresa and bowling in the league with her "Sista" Denise. Debbie was so very proud of her children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and their children. To know Debbie was to love her, she was so loved by her family and all who knew her. She couldn't walk down the halls of her apartment building, in her white boots, without someone happy to see her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Vincent C. Galluzzo Jr, her sister Tina Romano, Brother-in-Law Joseph Romano and Brother-in-Law John Lamb.

She is survived by her children, Nicole Vescovi, John J. Beardsley, and Pasquale Rossi; Her grandchildren, Joshua Vescovi, Alexus Vescovi, and Killian Beardsley. She is also survived by her sisters, Denise Lamphere and Theresa Lamb, Brother-in Law Stanley Lamphere, as well as many nieces and nephews and her beloved rescue dog Gino.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Colonie, New York. Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
