BALLSON SPA – Deborah L. Scott, 54, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Deborah was born on February 23, 1955 in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Bertha M. Fordham. She was a certified nurse's aide. She enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, playing on the computer with Zaire, NASCAR, Saratoga Track and RACINO, and spending time with family and friends.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 22 years, William Eric Scott; her children, Natalie Sanchez, Pamela Jackson, Bradford VanBuren Jr., Tara and David Chaires, Shondora Scott and Zaire Royal; her sisters, Darlene Fordham, Roslyn Samuria, Mattie Frazier, and Tina and Linda Fordham; her brothers, Christopher and Zant Samuria; 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, David Fordham and her sister, Loufvonia "Butterfly" Samuria.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). A calling hour will precede the service from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
