October 24, 1951 — March 5, 2015

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Deborah Milsop, 63, of Saratoga Springs passed away Thursday, March 5th 2015 at Albany Medical Center while surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Ballston Lake, New York she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Brandt) Nick and was predeceased by her brother, Paul Nick.

Deborah was a graduate of Russell Sage College, earning a B.S. in Economics. She was an active member of the Blue Star Mothers, holding the position of Treasurer and a supporter of Michigan State University athletics. Additionally, she taught Drivers Education throughout the Capital District for 16 years. As a Hockey mom extraordinaire, she held various positions in local youth hockey organizations and opened her home to foster children in need. She loved her dogs and will be sorely missed by countless friends and family.

She will be especially missed by her sons, Morgan and Casey Milsop.

A funeral service will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, One Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 in Deborah's name.
