Debra "Debbe" Bondi, 68, of Ballston Spa, died Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Saratoga Hospital with her loving family at her side.
Born in Niskayuna, Debbe was the third daughter of the late Fred and Janet (Andersen) Freligh. A life-long resident of the Capital Region, she loved her role as a beloved teaching assistant for more than 20 years at Malta Avenue Elementary School. She was an avid reader who loved playing games with her grandchildren, knitting, and game shows.
She was the devoted wife of Anthony Bondi for 49 years. She also leaves behind her children, Shana (Eric) Orton of California and Devon Bondi of Ballston Spa; grandchildren Jacob and Caden Orton and Brooklynn and Peyton Bondi; sisters Jean (Ed) Collins and Sharon (late Al) Thompson; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals located at 181 Troy-Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY with service to follow at 10:00 am. Interment in Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debbe's name to Whiskers at ewhiskers.com or St. Jude's at stjude.org.
