RENSSELAER - Deirdre Patterson, 58, transitioned peacefully from labor to reward on December 19, 2022.
She was born on May 21, 1964 to Roosevelt and Helen Addison in Albany, NY where she was a lifelong resident.
Deirdre dedicated over 30 years of her life to being a caregiver in the health care field. She had a passion for cooking for family and friends and took great joy in them enjoying her food. Deirdre loved spending time with friends and family and always spoke highly of the Addison family's legacy.
Deirdre is survived by her sons, Dionte (Teneisha) Addison Sr. and Kamal (Itisha) Patterson; three grandchildren, Dionte Jr., Avivanah, and Jurni; five sisters, Melody McGill, Kimberly (Remus) Addison, Shawn Addison, Sharon Chaires, and Pamela "Sweet Pea" Davis, four brothers, Charles "Bubbles" Addison, Jason Addison, Rov Addison, and Damon Holt; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Deirdre was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Patterson and her mother, Helen Fulton (Addison).
A calling hour will be held from 11 am to 12 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will begin at 12 pm.
