Delores A. Spencer

Rotterdam- Delores A. Spencer, 77, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on March 26, 2017. Born in Rotterdam, NY on April 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James M. Hickok, Jr. and Dorothy (Porter) Miller. Delores was a devoted Air Force Spouse. She was a hard worker her whole life, working for Coleco, Rotterdam Plastics and Trans World Entertainment from which she retired. Delores was an avid camper and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Delores is survived by her children: James M. (Ellen) Spencer, Karen I. Spencer, Wayne D. (Mary) Spencer and Scott A. (Shannon) Spencer; her siblings: Edwin J. "Buck" Hickok, Raymond "Chip" Miller, Thomas Hickok, Kathleen Ryle, Jacquelene Miller, Kevin Hickok, Cheryl Gosnell and Joseph Hickok; her beloved grandchildren: Kayla A. Batuk, Alyssa Spencer, Sgt. Jaymes Spencer, Keara Spencer, Jocelyn Spencer, Bree Ana Spencer, Deven Spencer and Andrew Spencer; her great-grandchildren: Mayah Lee and Spencer Lee and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her beloved cocker spaniel, Glory.
In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her siblings: Judith A. Carr, Sr., Bonnie Leighton, James M. "Skip" Hickok, III, Francis J. Hickok.
Memorial visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, March 29 at New Comer Funeral & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A memorial service will be held at 7 pm. Burial will be private.
