May 9, 1953 — June 15, 2018

On Friday, June 15, 2018 angel of the lord visited our beloved Demetri at Albany Medical Center and took her from labor to rest. "Dee Dee" as she as affectionally known was born on May 9, 1953 in Albany, NY to the late Juareze Galbreath and Alice Lopes Galbreath.

Dee Dee was employed at Albany Medical Center and the New York State Department of General Services for many years. She was educated in the Albany Public School System and a graduate of Phillip Schuyler High School.

Dee Dee accepted Christ as her personal savior as a member of Bethany Baptist Church under Rev. Collins and she continued on as a life long member of Welcome Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as President: of the Choir and the Missionary Ministries. Sister Dee Dee was a faithful servant willing to assist whenever asked. Sister Dee Dee enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, playing cards, shopping, traveling, fishing, infamous road trips and playing with her beloved pet cat "Pepe".

Sister Dee Dee leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted son Clarence "Jay" Toliver (Tasha), Daughter Monwella Toliver, Sisters Juanita Galbreath, and Maebelle Carter, Niece Mona Lisa Carter, Great Niece Jenae McCaskey, and Great Great Niece and her heart Kari Walker. Sisters in Christ Jeanette LeFevre and Berdia Pulliam and Special friend Patricia "Patty" Davis and Welcome Chapel Church family and friends. She was predeceased in death by Juareze Galbreath and Alice Lopes Galbreath. Clarence Toliver Sr., and Mae Taliferro (Toliver).

Viewing will be held at Welcome Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Albany on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00am – 12:00 PM.

Funeral service will be held at Welcome Chapel Missionary Baptist Church 124 Chestnut St. in Albany, NY 12210 on June 22, 2018 at 12:00 PM Officiating will be Reverend Constance D. Knight of Welcome Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial/Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Professional services entrusted to New Comer Funeral.
