Denise M. Connell, wife of the beloved Richard Connell Jr., passed away July 13, 2024 at their home.
Born on May 13, 1957, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Solek.
Denise graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School in 1976. Following graduation, she entered the workforce with Albany County Department of Probation. Retiring as the Confidential Administrator to the Director in 2012.
To her family, she was known as the matriarch. Denise loved everyone in her family, especially being "Nana" to her grandchildren Rece and Rocco. She took care of anyone she could, her door was always open to anyone in the family who needed help. This was one of her many inspirational traits we will remember about her.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard Connell Jr., her children: Danielle Connell and Richard (Shayna) Connell III, her grandchildren: Rece Connell and Rocco Connell, her brothers: Edward (Sandy) Beauparlant, Richard (Sheila) Solek, Walter (Mary) Solek, and Timothy (Cathy) Solek. She is also survived by many other loving family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Beauparlant and her stepfather, Jack Hausmann.
Per Denise's request, there will be no services held but during her life she always reminded us that family and friends are everything. With keeping these wishes in mind, donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
