Denise Higgins passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Albany Medical Center with family.
Denise was the daughter of the late Desire and Josephine Cote. She was the devoted wife to Dr. Paul Higgins.
Denise is survived by her husband Paul Higgins of 47 years. She is the amazing mother to her children Jennifer (Jessica) Higgins, Stephen (Katrina) Higgins, Craig Higgins, Erik Higgins, Sean Higgins, and Ryan Higgins (Brittany Smith). She will also be missed by her grandchildren whom she adored, Sophie, Parker, Ava, Rayne, and Ariana Higgins. She is also survived by her sister Joanne (Paul) Hickey and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 29, 2020 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave., Albany, NY 12203. Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
Those who wish to remember Denise in a special way may make contributions in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
