WYNANTSKILL- Denise M. Sanzo, 60, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Denise was born in Albany, NY on June 2, 1956 to the late Marguerite Miner. She was a graduate of Columbia High School in 1975. Denise was a loyal employee of K-Mart for over 15 years. In 1985 Denise married the love of her life, Philip Sanzo. In 1989 she left K-Mart to raise her family. Together they had three daughters, many cats, and two dogs. Denise will be remembered for her love of arts and crafts, needle point, and working with the girl scouts as a troop leader. Her passion in life was her family.
Denise is predeceased by her mother, Marguerite Miner, and her father-in-law, Felix Sanzo.
She is survived by her loving husband, Philip, her children; Natasha(Donald) Rugenstein, Megan Sanzo, and Phylicia Sanzo, her sisters; Donna (Scott) Granan, and Darlene (Richard) Yerry, her mother-in-law, Clare Sanzo, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 9:00am. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Denise's name to the Community Hospice, 310 S. Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208, or St. Peter's Cancer Care Center, 317 S. Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208
