Dennis L. Bouchard
August 28, 1943 — April 27, 2018
WATERFORD - Dennis "Coach" L. Bouchard, 74, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 after a brief illness.
Denny was born and raised in Cohoes and resided in Waterford. Denny was retired from the New York State Education Department and was a Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War. He loved soccer and coached the Catholic Central High School girls team to 40 - 0, a record that still stands today. He was an avid fisherman and a Lake Ontario Charter Captain. Denny was also a three time State Archery Champion and was inducted into the NY Archery Hall of Fame.
Denny is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Monica; his sons, Shane (Rebecca) Bouchard and D.J. (Megan) Bouchard; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Luce, Colin, Miles and Ethan Bouchard and Brayden and Aubryee Prock; his sister, Gail (Carmen) Oliviere. Denny was predeceased by his parents, George and Ida Bouchard and his brother, Roger Bouchard.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2nd, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet. Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Unity House, 2201 14th Street, Troy, NY 12180 in memory of Denny.
