Cohoes- Dennis R. Van Horn, 52, died at Samaritan Hospital on Thursday, September 15, 2005 after a short illness. Dennis was born in Carthage, New York, September 29, 1952 and attended Carthage Central High School where he graduated in 1970. He resided in Carthage until he moved to the Albany area in 1978. Dennis was employed by Riverwalk on the Hudson Apartments in Cohoes as their Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor. He enjoyed playing country guitar and was in several bands in the Albany area. He also enjoyed country dancing and spending time with his only son, Adam. Dennis is predeceased by his father Joseph Van Horn.
Dennis is survived by his mother Bernice Van Horn of Carthage, his son Adam Van Horn of East Greenbush, and his two brothers Joseph Van Horn of Albany, and Richard Van Horn of Carthage.
Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211 or to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street P.O Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057 in memory of Dennis R. Van Horn.
