ALBANY- Derrick Anthony Graves, 33, of Albany, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Albany on October 13, 1974 to Willow Graves and the late Lillie Mae Graves.
Derrick attended New Visions Adult Day Program where he earned his high school diploma. He was a fun loving person who loved to play the piano and dance. His favorite dance was the bump. Whenever you were in Derrick's presence, he greeted you by shaking your hand and giving you a big hug. He touched the lives of many people with his big smile and even bigger heart.
Derrick is survived by seven brothers, James (Sheena), Jimmy (Linda), Charles, Donald (Marquita), Willow Jr., and Abraham; six sisters, Edith, Bernie, Mae, Patsy (Robin), Sharon (Johnny), Melissa and the late Deborah. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank New Visions for all of their care and support.
