ROTTERDAM – Derrick W. "Debo" Brown, 25, passed away at Ellis Hospital on Friday, May 18, 2012 after a long illness.
Derrick enjoyed playing video games and a member of World of War Craft. He played baseball on the Schenectady Little League and was part of the Rotterdam Boys and Girls Club. Derrick loved eating and writing in his journal.
Derrick was predeceased by his brother, Demetrius Brown.
Derrick is survived by his mother, Linda Harrold; children Demetrius Brown of Virginia and Isiah Brown of Schenectady; siblings Renee (Quinton) Brown, Shane Kingsland, Jason Kingsland and Jessica Haley; nieces and nephews Aaron "Ace Boogie" Brown, Alexandra Kingsland, Quinton Brown, Jr., Elizabeth Brown, and Mykah Granholm, and best friends Tyrone Savino and Karen Brown.
A special thank you goes to the Hospice team and nurses for their excellent care and love provided! They will always be remembered.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308 in Derrick's name.
