Diana P. Batcher

Diana Lee Batcher (April Starr), age 75, wife of the late Gerald Batcher (Dusty Atcher) both of Schenectady gained wings peacefully at home on June 4, 2024 surrounded by all of her loved ones.

Diana was born on July 2, 1948 to Ernest Lee and Laura Harris. She graduated from Linton High School as a beautician and was also a wonderful entertainer. She performed at many local benefits to help raise money for others. She was also inducted into the Cortland Country Hall of Fame. She later worked at Empire BlueCross and Blue Shield. Her biggest accomplishments were the love and devotion she had for her family and friends, which quickly became family.

Diana became known as Mom to not only her children but to many others she helped to raise. Then known as "The Bestest Gramma" in the whole wide world to all of her grandbabies. great grandbabies, as well as all of her friends. She is survived by so many loved ones.

A celebration of her life will be held on July 13, 2024 at 1PM at the Rotterdam Elks club on Curry Rd in Rotterdam.
