GUILDERLAND – Diana J. Renus Pahl after battling a long illness has ended her courageous battle on Sunday, April 14, 2013 and her new journey has begun with angels wings. Diana was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Renus, formerly of Amsterdam. Diana was a past member of the Fort Hunter Volunteer Fire Company where she served as a firefighter and fire police. She had many creative artistic abilities. She enjoyed ceramics, bowling and fishing. Diana was infamous for jokes and laughter and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Diana is the loving wife of Emil W. Pahl, Jr. She is the devoted mother of Gerald (Patrice) Pahl, Robert (Barbara) Pahl and Mary Elizabeth (Gary Masters) Miller. Diana is the beloved sister of Charles (Eleanor) Renus, Jr, Richard (Vivian) Renus, Marion Olsen and the late Robert (Jean) Renus. She is the cherished grandmother of Kurt (Rebecca) Pahl, Katherine (Daniel) Silva, Michelle (Kyle Van Patten) Pahl, Nicholas Miller, Chandler Miller, Tristan Masters. She was predeceased by her guardian angel grandson, Carl Pahl. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt-155 south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
