Diane Marie Ovitt

Colonie- Diane M. Ovitt, 63, of Colonie passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on July 16, 2022 holding tight to her husband's hand. Diane was born in Ann Arbor, MI on September 9, 1958 to the late Marvin and Marie Woodruff.

Diane was an amazing wife to her husband, Gary; loving mom to her son, Michael (Destini) and daughter, Marie (Joe); devoted grandmother to Sara, Abigail, and Kierra; a caring sister to Carol, Brad, and Robbie; and a loyal friend to so many. She loved her family including all of her nieces and nephews. She loved all animals, especially her two dogs Buddah and Poppy.


Diane has worked at Price Chopper (Market Bistro) in Latham for 33 years. Her co-workers were her family and she was devoted to her loyal customers. She loved walking at the Crossings and sitting by the pond with her husband. She would always make sure her bird feeders were full and there were nuts for the squirrels. Diane's family would like to thank the compassionate staff and nurses at Women's Cancer Care and Community Hospice.
