Diane M. Spiegel (Olzak), 78, of Schenectady, passed away on March 7, 2024 at Barnwell Nursing Home in Valatie following a long illness.
Diane was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Virginia M. Olzak of Rotterdam. She was a 1963 graduate of Mohonasen High School and also attended classes at Schenectady County Community College.
Diane was employed at the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, and later at Proctor's Theater, where she welcomed theatergoers and enjoyed many shows as group coordinator. She was an avid reader, and especially fond of mysteries and science fiction.
She is survived by her sisters, Laura Guthan of Scotia, Virginia Krueger of Hidden Valley Lake, California, and Margaret Oldendorf of Guilderland; brothers, Henry Olzak of New Ashford, Massachusetts, and Bron Olzak of Scottsdale, Arizona.
