Diane T. Diana

Diane T. Diana, 80, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2014 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters.

Diane was born a twin in Schenectady, to the late George and Madeline (Green) Tusang.

She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1951 and worked for several years at child and family services then married her beloved husband, Al.
She stayed home and raised her three beautiful children before working for the New York State Tax department where she later retired as a supervisor after 25 years.

She loved to sing and dance with her identical twin Dolores and enjoyed collecting bells with her husband. Diane was a member of many church choirs and loved her dogs.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Alphonse Diana; her sisters Yvonne Chambers, Ruth Wojnar and her brother George Tusang Jr. and her niece Mary Beth McCormack.

She is survived by her beloved sister Dolores K. (David) Metchick; her cherished children, Katherine (Joseph) Caywood, John (Diane) Diana and Paul (Donna) Diana. She is the adored grandmother of Desiree (James) Bowers, Jessica Diana, Anthony Diana, Michael Diana, James Diana and great grandmother of Zachary Bowers. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews especially her Goddaughter Judith Dyer and devoted nephew Michael Cuskelly.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Caregivers of Altamont, 2021 Western Ave., Albany, NY 12203 in Diane's memory.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 4:00 pm 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
