Dixie Lee Myrick departed this life on February 9, 2022 atSt. Peters Hospital, Albany New York at 12:45 P.M.
Dixie Lee was born in Hudson, NY. She was the 3rd of 6 children. She was educated in Catskill School District and graduated from Catskill High School. She worked for the
New York State Department of Education for 27 years. She accepted and loved Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was a member of Mt. Olive Southern Missionary Baptist Church of Albany, NY. Lee loved being around her family and friends. She greeted everyone with a beautiful smile. She was one of the best huggers in the world. Chances are, if you ran into her, it was at Walmart.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Paris Myrick (Jahmeen Breland) and Sophia Ingraham, one sister Carolyn Temple (Jesse), and four brothers, Barry Myrick (Darlene) and, James Myrick of Albany, NY and Mark Myrick (Doreen) and Joseph Myrick (Kelly) of Schenectady, NY. She also leaves to cherish her memory 3 grandchildren, Lil Jahmeen and Jordan Breland, and Ramona Jones, nieces and nephews, Jesse (Manny) Temple (Courtney), Christopher Giovanetti, Keisha Flanders (Joe), Anthony, Carol Lynn, Devin, Darnell, Zachary, and Dixie L. Myrick, Lexus Ingraham, Jaden Myrick, Vasjheron Myrick, Mikail Leggard, and Aria Myrick, and her loving companion Guy Jacobs, along with Aunts Bertha Moody,
Alice Faye Hedgepeth, Betty Davis, and Uncle Wallace, her Goddaughter Courtney Johnson and a host of special cousins and friends.
Dixie was predeceased by her parents Dixie O. and John H. Myrick, and other sister Aunt Linda Mackey.
