Dolores A. Close

COLONIE, NY – Dolores A. Close, 77, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, September 27, 2010. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Tocco and Stella Whimple. She lived in Colonie for the past twenty years. In addition to her parents, Dolores was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony O. Close, and her brother, Anthony Tocco. Dolores is survived by her devoted children: Donna Farrell, Anthony (Pam), Tom (Carole), Michael (Lynn) and David (Sandy) Close and Stella Lacy. She is the cherished grandmother of Sandy Sitcer, Jimmy Sitcer, Nicole Close, Jennifer Close, Anthony Close, Jr., Tommy Close, Jr., Sabrina Lacy, Paul Lacy, Jr., Tiffany Lacy, Marissa Close, Krystal Close, Krista Close, David Close and Anthony Close. She is the loving great-grandmother of Breana Close, Mercedes Estes, Mya Estes, Matthew Estes, Olivia Close, Carma Close, Antonio Close and Ethen White. Also surviving is her brother, Joseph (Peggy) Tocco and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
