GUILDERLAND – Dolores T. Dalrymple, 77, of Guilderland, entered into the arms of the Lord peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2006 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Troy, she was the 12th daughter and 13th child of the late Stanislaw and Caroline Drosky. Mrs. "D" enjoyed gardening, making crafts, dancing and listening to Polish music. She was very talented at decorating, especially for the holidays. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Dolores will always be remembered as "caregiver" for her family and any one else in need. Dolores was the beloved wife of the late Alexander J. Dalrymple. She is the devoted mother of Deborah (John) O'Donnell of Guilderland, David (Meris) Dalrymple of Westmere, Dawn (James) Munroe of Duanesburg, Diane Dalrymple of Schenectady, Deidre Smith of Ballston Spa and Derrick Dalrymple of Scotia. She is the loving sister of Stanley J. Drosky of Troy and Casimer Drosky of St. Cloud, FL. Dolores is the cherished Babci of Ryan (Staci) and Evan O'Donnell, Erica and Luke Munroe, Renee and Danielle Hoelzli, Kirstie and Nicolas Smith, Adam and Melissa Schaible and Amanda Quinn. She is the great-grandmother of Darian and Brandon Mohrhoff. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Hedy Migden and the staff of Community Hospice of Albany for all the care and support given to Dolores during her illness.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 9:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Joseph's Church, Troy at 10:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Memory's Garden.
