Dolores M. Bongiorno

ALBANY – Dolores M. Bongiorno, 76, of Albany NY passed away at her home on Thursday September 19, 2013 due to an illness. She was born in Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1963. She worked at several establishments including Walts Subs, Albany Public Market, and Price Chopper where she retired from after 30 years of service.
Dolores was predeceased by her beloved husband Ernest Bongiorno, and her brother-in-law Fiorello LoGuidice.
She is survived by her sons Frank, Robert & daughter in-law Justine Bongiorno, brother Laerte and his wife Maria, sister Tamara and her husband Adriano, brother-in-law and sisters-in law Nino and Rose Miuccio, and Elvira LoGuidice, grandsons Anthony and Justin Greco, along with several nieces and nephews.
Dolores was a loving and kind person who enjoyed gardening and spending time at the Saratoga Gaming & Raceway Racino, where she enjoyed playing the slot machines. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 9:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. At the request of the family, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Dolores M. Bongiorno.
