ALBANY - Dolores M. (Brady) Lazzaro, 81, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 24 2011 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, NY, on July 27, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Howard & Catherine (Bailey) Brady. She married Eric S. Lazzaro in June, 1950. Both were employed at the Watervliet Arsenal before moving to Los Alamos, New Mexico in 1959 where they both worked for the Los Alamos National Scientific Laboratory. They returned home to New York in 1986 following Eric's retirement. Predeceased by her husband in November, 1999, Dolores is survived by a son, John J. Lazzaro (Wendy) of Center Line, Michigan; three grandchildren, Duane Richard (Shellee), Kelsea and Erica Lazzaro; three great-grandchildren, Kayley, Zackary and Miley Richard; a sister, Sarah (Sally) Jones; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Howard, John (Jack), Philip and Don Brady, and a sister, Rose Smith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the parish of St. John/St. Joseph, 50 Herrick Street, Rensselaer, NY on Saturday April 2 at 10:30am. A private burial will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville at the convenience of the family.
At Dolores' request, there will be no viewing hours.
