Dolores M. Foley, 86, formerly of Guilderland NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 18, 2016 at Mid-Pinellas Care Center in Florida. Born on November 26, 1929 in Schenectady NY to the late Mario and Maria Puglio (Uliano), she was the devoted wife to Thomas J. Foley for the past 58 years. Thomas and Dolores were wed on February 9, 1958 in Schenectady NY.
Dolores loved to garden, shop, collect shells at the beach and cook and bake for her family in her unique Italian way. She especially liked to prepare her famous lasagne and stuffed hot peppers! She also loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and was always singing and dancing around the house and she loved to make people laugh.
Along with her beloved husband Tom, Dolores is survived by her sister Gloria (Charles) Palmer, daughter Diane (James) Clark, and Grandsons James, Brian, Robert, Jeffrey, and Daniel; Granddaughters Kacie, Christine, and Nicole and several Great-grand children, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Dolores is predeceased by her son, Robert T. Foley, Sr. and her daughter, Karen Foley. She is also predeceased by her sisters Amelia DiLorenzo and Viola Friguletto and her brothers Albert, Alfred, Frank, and Victor Puglio.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Mid-Pinellas Care Center for the care and love shown to Dolores and her family during this most difficult time. A very special thanks is also extended to Patricia Arkema for going above and beyond caring and providing support and assistance to the family throughout Dolores' illness and passing
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Monday June 27th, 2016 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, with the burial to take place after at St. John's the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady.
