COLONIE- Dolores M. "Dee" LeMorta, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016, with her loving family by her side.
Dee was born in Rensselaer, NY to the late Melvin and Margaret VanBuren on February 14, 1927. Dee worked for the Manufacturer Hanover Bank as a head teller for over 20 years. She will be remembered for her many trips to the casinos with her friends and family. Her passion in life was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dee is predeceased by her husband, Dominick LeMorta, and her son, David L. LeMorta.
She is survived by her children; Dominick (Marjorie) LeMorta Jr., and Margaret M.(Robert) Sousa, her daughter-in-law, Susan LeMorta, her grandchildren; Dominick III, Jennifer, Michael, Darren, Gina, David, Kristi, Christina, Cassie, Robert Jr., and Jennifer P., her cherished 24 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205, on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 9:00am. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
The family wishes to thank all of the staff on 5 McCauley at St. Peter's Hospital.
