Albany- Dolores (Carmello) Horan Murphy, 82, passed away Wednesday December 4, 2013 at The Teresian House. Born in Rensselaer, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Proskin) Carmello.
Dolores was a 1950 graduate of Philip Schuyler. She will be remembered by her family as a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to be surrounded by her family.
Dolores is survived by her children; Michael (Janine) Horan of Altamont, Kim Horan of Albany, and Debra (Hank) Ritchey of Las Vegas. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Michelle (Preston) Horan Clifton of Derby, NY, Sierra Horan of Jamestown, ND, Michael A. Horan, Shane Horan and great grandchildren; Gavin Michael and Emma Lynn of Derby, and Madelyn Dolores of Jamestown. Dolores is survived by her siblings Elaine Scaccia, Jeanette (James) DeMarco, Joseph (Carol) Carmello, William (Judy) Carmello, Ronald (Joan) Carmello, and Thomas Carmello. She was predeceased by her siblings Frankie Carmello, John (Nancy) Carmello, Joan (Robert) Maud, and brother-in-law John Scaccia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday December 9th at 11:00 a.m. at The Infinite Prague Chapel at The Teresian House. Calling hours will be Sunday December 8th from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd.
