ROTTERDAM- Dolores T. Relyea, 92, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Dolores was born in Schenectady, NY on November 3, 1925 to the late John and Anna Gregorie. On August 9, 1947 Dolores married the love of her life, the late Gerald W. Relyea. Together they raised nine children. She will be remembered for her love of the Mets. She always made sure there was room at the dinner table for anyone who dropped by.
Dolores is predeceased by her husband, Gerald, her son, Doug, her daughter-in-law, Lori, and her eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, James (Holly) Relyea, Robert Relyea, Donna (Tom) Fila, Gerald (Lucy) Relyea, Thomas (Joyce) Relyea, Steven (Wendy) Relyea, Gayle (Tod) Anderson, and Diane (Val) DeCesare, her grandchildren, Jeff (Marci), Pam (Del), Jen (Kris), Julie, Jim, Robby (Valerie), Scott (Jill), Tom Jr., Craig (Lisa), Kim (Tom), Alexandria, Val Jr., and Trevor, her great-grandchildren, Evan, Maria, Lily, Peter, Tessa, Heath, Simon, Brennan, Liam, Shelby, Sammy, and Valarya, her sister, Catherine DiCocco, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10:00am-12:00pm with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Schenectady Memorial Park, Schenectady, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dolores' name to the charity of your choice.
