January 31, 1927 — February 10, 2012

WEST ALBANY – Dominick A. Lomonaco, 85, of West Albany, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Vito and Josephine Lomonaco. Domimick had served in the US Navy during WWII. He was an iron worker with Local #12 in Albany for many years. Dom was a member of the American Legion, Albany Elks and the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society. He enjoyed bowling and racquetball. Dom was an avid golfer and master gardener. He will be remembered as an honest and kind gentleman that was always willing to lend a hand to others.
Dominick was the brother of the late Felicia Nicholas, Angeline Simon and Antoinette Donato. He is the cherished uncle of Donald Simon, Joyce Wimer, Frank Donato and Joanne VanEpps. He is also survived by many grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 8:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to Christ Our Light Church, Loudonville at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
