ALBANY- Dominick J. DiBlasi, 73, of Albany, went home with his Lord on January 14, 2008. Dominick was born at the Brady Hospital in Albany and was the son of the late Dominick and Domenica DiBlasi.
He was a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School. Dominick worked for Local 190 for many years, Albany County Department of Social Services and the State of New York. He was predeceased by his sister Mille and her husband Mario Pizzamento.
Special thanks to the staff of New York Hematology Oncology of Latham, staff of St. Peter's Hospital, and Albany Medical Center 4th floor staff, Dr. Michael Perazzelli and the many other caregivers who assisted Dominick.
He is the beloved husband of fifty years to Antonina (Val) Ritmo DiBlasi. Brother of Betty Palmer. Devoted father of Dominick (Lisa) DiBlasi and Daniel (Joyce) DiBlasi. He is the cherished grandfather of Nicky (Amy), Richard (Sarah), James and Danielle DiBlasi. Great grandfather of Makayla DiBlasi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:30 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 10 to 11:30 at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
